no in melee there were characters that a less talented person could win with against a more talented(ie fox pr marth vs bowser) im not saying it was enough to let a nub beat a pro but not all characters were created equal although i heard brawl is more balanced multiple times
nah, melee wasnt too bad for that, i could normally win with bowser if i did realy cheap manuvers. |

Brawl is no different from Melee anymore. Sure the wave-dash and stupid wave-shine is gone, but as a game, it's still pretty damn broken to the fullest extent ever.
I should know, I lost all of my jumps in just one forward hit from MetaKnight and one up-b. I was at 18% and got sent all the way to Brooklyn in two stupid moves. It's no wonder they banned his broken ass T_T

I think to really take down Lucario you shouldn't work on the percent gathering. You see, I believe there are two real "styles" of playing. One is the high damage gaining, essentially performing a lot of combos and the likes to make your opponents easy to K.O. The other is the direct kill. This is where you focus more on the actuall K.O. than the buildup. Techniques such as the meteor smash are part of this strategy. You try to use powerfull attacks and edge gaurds to get your opponents earlier on. I think the former wouldn't work as well as the latter because as we all know, Lucario is strongest when in the highest danger of being K.O.'d. Therefore, you should work on putting him and keeping him off of the platform instead of building up his damage so a weaker attack can take him out. Like I said, meteor smashes, and probably smash attacks will work well for this. Also is you've got strong specials like Samus's charge beam.
Yep, ive noticed that my usuall strategy of conbos isn't as effective with lucardio because it takes a lot of power to knock it in the air even when lucardio has 200+ damage. |
