Alright, seeing as how I've been in a drawing mood the past few days, I think I'll go ahead and make a thread of my own instead of hijacking Juan's story thread.
So.... I'll be posting/updating this thread with drawings of mine relevant to Smash Power (at least for the most part).
I hope to become a great artist one day (hopefully soon), so comments and constructive criticism is much desired. This is a pathway to a place much greater.
Sometimes my drawings are a bit on the light side (I habitually draw lightly, and don't dare take a pen to my work).
To compensate, sometimes tilting the computer screen back a bit can help make faint lines stand out more clearly.
EDIT: Be aware that I've done away with the categorizations. I'd like to be able to see my pieces in a chronological fashion.
IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER:

(^ XX/XX/08?)
This is a robot woman of great importance in the trilogy of mine. She is renown for her unmatched mastery of radiant light.

(^06/26/09)
This was a three-day project I did
at whim. This is more of a "prepared" stance than a battle pose.

(^06/29/09)
A fun overnight drawing I did with a casual Charlie doing one of his hobbies. This was my first time drawing waves so I really had no idea what I was doing.
The version posted above is shown in high contrast. The lighter version is here:

(^07/10/09)
Here's a copy-drawing I did of model
Gregory Parker so that I could get the hang of Charlie's hairstyle. I didn't set out to make an exact copy but wound up trying to halfway through, haha. That explains the minimal "deviations".

(^11/07/09)
A drawing of Charlie based on
Juan's rendition. This took a few weeks due to my college schedule.
This is a depiction of his armor on the outside - a conceptual design currently being weighed against having some armor on the inside of his robe.
Note: While anatomically correct, the legs were a bit too short, so I lengthened then a just a little bit. The original pic can be found
here. And a lighter version can be seen
here (be sure to click on the image to make it a little bit larger - it comes out crisper that way).

(^ 01/02/10)
A far overdue Pika drawing to tide Bryan over till I can create an original Pika pic!
Took about 30 minutes, not including distractions such as Chat

. Taken from
here.

(^01/26/10)
This is a beach rendition I wound up doing of Charlie for anatomy practice (ironically it started off for female). This is unfinished with his hair still needing to be added ( I don't dare do his face) and the Sacred Seal on his chest, but I like it enough to put it here.
The staff there is a ~7 foot bō staff, so it's a little bit longer what I'd normally do. It just fit the scene better.
Note: The hand was a bit too small, so instead of taking a huge risk and redoing it, I digitally enlarged it a bit. The original pic is
here.

(^ 03/30/01)
I had a random inspiration and wound up doodling some staff designs. The common material in these royal scepter-staffs is gold. The staff on the right was my first, with the head being of gold, and is supposed to harness a sphere of mystic energy. The other two are staff designs for 2 of the 24 royal Azavonian priests. Each of the 24 heirs is assigned a chronologically corresponding Greek letter, and these two staffs belong to the Kappa-priest and the Chi-priest (Charlie).
Nothing official, just doodles. Although I do like them!
Note: A full-view version can be found here:

(^04/12/10)
A concept design for who I call "The Dark Servant" - the supernaturally enslaved right-hand man to my villain Daragus. He's a shape-shifting Farrean Drejh, a Drejh infused with the blood of a dead, darkened Farraen.

(^05/01/10)
Here is some concept art for Eibhlín Céibhfhionn ("evleen cave-un"), a central and renown Farraen noble woman of Siseria, a powerful foreseer, healer, and a master wielder of celestial Radiance.

(^05/13/10)
Here's a piece of Charlie in his staff martial arts getup. He's missing his necklace and Sacred Seal, but I like it! I might work on shading in the future.

(^06/05/10)
A new casual rendition done for some quick clothing practice. No references used.

(^06/26/10)
Concept art for a design based on Richard Rahl's clothing in the
Legend of the Seeker, episode "Unbroken". The design was nearly spot-on what I've had in mind now for many months. This attire is meant to be used while Charles is at the Azavonian palaces.

(^07/06/10)
Here's some concept art for one of the Azavonian priestesses (one of the 24 co-heirs).
As I have it right now, her name is Helena, and she favors the sun and fire in her daily life. She is renown as a fire and light wielder in the High Order.
No references.

(^07/08/10)
Just a very quick sketch to get my OC's design down. This is a bit closer to what I'm envisioning for one outfit, but still it's a long-shot. I decided to throw in the elemental spell-casting at the last minute - the "Azavonian" letters were made up without thinking, and they look a bit like Japanese. So if anyone can read Japanese, I apologize for the curse words!

(^07/24/10)
This is a piece for Charlie's Farraen friend and caretaker, Cayleb, shown in a form of Farraen traveling attire.
The second piece is colorized in Paint.NET.

(^07/29/10)
I came across a pic while looking for human poses to draw, and the thoughtful gaze and resulting feel of character struck me as one belonging to my own character. Plus, it also radically flew in the face of the stereotypical scrawny priests. So...I tried to capture it on paper, albeit not nearly as successfully as I was wanting.
The colorized version on the right is how my scanner made it look with Paint.NET's "Auto Correct" activated.

(^08/30/10)
A much overdo female anatomy piece. It was challenging finding an image that I felt was modest enough while still providing good anatomy practice. I settled on this one because it was the most modest in spirit. The scanner tore the shading transitions to shreds, unfortunately.

After getting all sorts of advice in my last piece of how to shade, I set to work on putting that new info to work. This piece here was done using a variety of shading tools, predominately tissue paper and Q-tips. This piece here was put through some intense contrast editing in Paint.NET in an attempt to bring it up to par with the on-paper original. It wasn't an entirely successful endeavor (much does not show up), but I'm pleased with how it turned out on the computer.

Here's an alternate design for my OC Charlie, a futuristic outfit and stance inspired by Titus from FFX. I became too frustrated with the facial features, hence the lack thereof.

(trust me, further work would have completely ruined it!)

Midterm Part 1, 12x18 in size, and done solely with graphite. The directions were to pick a theme and draw something you see from two different, opposing perspectives, and as such, I chose people - two individuals together in the first piece, one alone in the other. I fell in love with this one halfway through and HAD to make it the best I could, so in the end I took about 18 hours on it, counting work time only.
The big things for me on this piece was the clothing - that's where I spent the most time on. I was rushed so I only spent about 10 minutes on the face. After I got the basic sketch of everything down, this thing was a total blast to draw and shade. I've always dreaded drawing clothes in the past, so this was a big accomplishment on my part. I see now how fun it actually is. ^_^

Midterm Part 2. 12x18. Acrylic paper. 18-20 drawing hours.
As with my previous drawing, I totally fell in love with this halfway through and had to see what all I could do with it. I tried pushing the values more in this piece than in Together, and I'm pretty pleased by how this turned out, particularly in the "on paper" version. Shading this thing was a total blast, haha. I love using cotton for wide, contoured surfaces. ^_^
