I personally like Jolteon but Magnezone is probably a better choice since it's also steel. Hmm then again it would be weak against fire so..

Hes good, but the problem is that he dies in 1 earthquake becuase hes also steel, giving x4 when ground attacks are used on him. My Magnezone packs Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Flash Cannon, and Magnet Rise.

If you are up against a ground type you know you are faster then, use magnet rise at the start to through the enemy off and finish them with flash cannon. If your up against something fast like a Flygon or Dugtrio then your screwed though.

It really depends on the other guys in your team though. If you need a fast offensive guy, go with Jolteon. If you need a defensive slow guy go with Magnezone. Also, you want to try avoiding 2 of the same type on the same team. If you have another steel type, pick Jolteon.



Also, keep in mind Magnezone is genderless, preventing him from falling in love. And the steel gives him immunity to being posined as well as his electric preventing him from being paralyzed. This stop the bullshit "toxic my enemy and do nothing but double team and sand-attack until posion nills him" plan.

Ah thanks for the tips Miguel and Sarah. If an earthquake is gonna kill both Jolteon and Magnezone then I might go with Jolteon to atleast attack before the opponent.

Go look up the move 'Magnet Rise'

Might give Magnezone a second look. It changes the pokeability to Levitate meaning it cant be hit by ground moves. The hardest part is getting the turn to use that move. It only works for five turns too, another limitation. Think about a Trick Room team if you feel like it.

basically, Jordan, its more of a post-game competitive thing, find a strong pokemon that gives off the right EVs, and have your Pokemon have the best nature it can possibly have!
